SSI Encoder Simulator
The SSI-encoder simulator is able to emulate 8bit to 24bit
SSI-encoder with GRAY or binary code output up to 500kHz.
It was especially developed to emulate a singleturn or multiturn
SSI encoder. The hardware is able to output a gray code or binary code
format up to 24bits. For this case there are three blocks of DIL
switches to create manually the necessary data signal. This data
package is transfered to the external and clock generating periphery.
All signals and supply voltage are pluged via one 15pin SUB-D header.
There is optionally the possibility to control the SSI-encoder simulator via serial interface, that can be connected to a PC. With an open RS232 data protocol the user is able to transfer data patterns instead of using the DIL switches. It is also possible to send timing variable data profiles. A customer specific application - e.g. different datalength of up to 32bit, transfering of cyclic data pattern or data output of A-B-Z signals (as designed with the TTL encoder simulator ) instead of SSI is also possible for implementation.
